(Text of letter being delivered to all residents this weekend.)

Hello Neighbor!

Over the last six months a group of residents representing all three roads has been meeting to discuss issues with our roads. Since the last major repaving in 1999 little maintenance has been performed, and as a result we see a large number of issues caused not just by general use, but also by drainage problems.  We recommend taking steps now to address many of these issues before conditions worsen to the point where major investment is needed.

In anticipation of this work, we are working to obtain professional surveys and estimates and in the coming weeks we will have a plan with associated costs and a baseline schedule.  We will then be presenting this information as well as the cost sharing proposal to all residents.

While we work towards this point, we want to share the results of our discussions so far with all residents, and ensure that the entire community remains informed and involved as they proceed. We are using this as an opportunity to once again reach out to those residents who have not provided us with current contact information so that we may add it to our records for future correspondence.

We now have a website to store and share information:  www.higuera.org. The site hosts the original association bylaws, mapping data, meeting minutes, etc, and we are in the process of adding more information.  The road plans, costs proposals and any schedules, upcoming intermittent closures/detours will also be posted here.

In addition to the new website we have a very active community on Nextdoor.  Over 2/3 of the residents living off Higuera, Quail and Higuera Highland are subscribed to this free service and the committee thanks you wholeheartedly.   Being able to easily communicate with residents without going door to door is extremely helpful. If you have not yet joined Nextdoor use this link: https://bit.ly/2P0WCne.

Sincerely, on behalf of all the residents of the Higuera Road Community,

Your Higuera Road Committee:
Dennis Taylor, Ardell Johnson, Janet Beagle, Gavin Botha, LC Boros, Mike Smith
