While we’re still working on sending out notification letters re: upcoming plans for road repairs, here is some other news to share.
Please take a moment to take this Cal BoFFP survey: https://forms.office.com/g/peGA5QuDfn . This survey is specifically regarding their new proposed Zone0 as it affects those living within the boundaries of the State Responsibility Area (SRA) and not that of Santa Clara County. (Our road is considered part of the SRA.) The new rule change could mean no vegetation or structures within 5 feet of a residence and would likely include mulch, plants in pots, trees, flowers not to mention outbuildings as well as fences/gates.
If you do not follow the developments that have been going on in the last two years, this proposed rule change, along with last summer’s adoption of new rules for roads within the SRA, is interesting to say the least.
The deadline to complete the 5 minute survey is Wednesday. Apologies for the lateness in posting this but I was out of town for much of March. Also, once you complete the survey you can provide an email address to stay abreast of further news.
