The parcel data spreadsheet has been updated with current owner information per county records. About a half a dozen parcels were also added to the spread sheet: most notably several at the end of Higuera Rd as well as the two off Ranch Road. Ranch Road (which is what all of Higuera Rd was once called) begins at the Higuera Rd/Higuera Highland junction and heads north across Flint Creek. One of the parcels is currently before county for future development. Due to the recent rule changes passed last summer by the California Board of Forestry, it is highly unlikely the second parcel or any other vacant parcels accessed via our road will be developed any time in the near future, but all parcels, even those that are vacant, will still be included for assessment.
A new field termed “Shares” was added to the spread sheet. Parcels with just one residence are assigned one share, but parcels with secondary dwelling units have two shares. This will factor into final assessment calculations, so if a parcel’s share information is incorrect, please speak up.
During the next weather break new road condition video footage will be gathered. Following that an online road meeting will be held to explain repair scheduling, contractor selection, cost estimates, etc.
In the mean time, a small subgroup of residents are trying to address the drainage issues that begin near the top of Higuera Highland and impact just about everyone below. More about that will be shared at a later date if and when progress is made.
