Volunteers Needed

We will be getting a large dumpster this coming week to dispose of some accumulated bits and pieces here. At that time I would love to dispose of the abandoned VW that has graced us with its presence on the side of the road up past the upper Higuera/Balcom cut through for at least ten years. CHP cannot help with it as it’s on private land; the Sheriff can’t help as its on private land; and said land has been in a continual cycle of being purchased by unsuspecting buyers who then discover there is a slide and building on the parcel is next to impossible so they are left with selling it off to another person. This has happened at least three times in the last six years and I have reached out to each new owner and requested permission to remove said car but have never gotten a response. I even roped in County Code Enforcement to try to do something and after two years am finally giving up on that route.

To that end, we’re more than happy to go down, load the car onto a trailer and bring it up to our place, but that is when we’ll need some help as cutting it into dumpster-sized pieces is going to be a bit labor intensive. So if you would like to assist, either comment here or send me a direct email.
